I try to ensure my kids say this dua before going to school.
In another narration, the Prophet said, “…nothing will harm him.”
I depend on this dua for my peace of mind, I rely on this hadith and trust that after my kids have said this dua, nothing will harm them, inshaAllah.
The narrator of the hadith, Aban, narrated it on his father, Uthman, ibn Affan, may Allah be pleased with him. Aban was afflicted by partial paralysis so the man listening to him began to look at him [in wonder], so Aban said to him, “What are you looking at? Indeed the Hadith is as I reported it to you, but I did not say it one day so that Allah’s decree upon me would be fulfilled.”
