8 months | Weekly 1-hour gatherings over Zoom
All gatherings recorded, with lifetime access.   Starting January 2027

Do you struggle to understand teachings around intimacy, obedience, or your place within marriage?

Do you find it difficult to navigate boundaries with your husband, family, or in-laws?

How much would it mean to have greater clarity about what Allah asks of you—and confidence in the choices you make?

Have certain interpretations of hadith or verses left you feeling that aspects of the Deen are against you?

Women in Islam offers a space to explore these questions through traditional Sunni scholarship, reconnect with the wisdom and mercy of the Deen, and take practical steps toward meaningful change.

About the Program

This eight-month program brings together hadith study, fiqh, and life coaching. Rooted in traditional Sunni scholarship, it draws on established scholarly principles and the four schools of fiqh, explaining relevant differences where appropriate.

Through the lived Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, his household, and the female Companions, Sha. Shaista will explore women’s roles, marriage, relationships, spiritual growth, and everyday challenges. We will study narrations in context and examine how rulings and broader principles are understood and put into practice.

The aim is to deepen your understanding and connection with Allah and His Messenger ﷺ while helping you recognise inherited expectations that should not be confused with religious obligations. We will explore the spirituality, courage, confidence, and humanity of the female Companions—and what their examples can teach us today.

“This class really helps to develop a balanced understanding of how the Sunnah household should be. It clears up the common misconceptions in terms of certain hadiths and events which may easily be misunderstood outside of context.”
— Student from an earlier Revival course

Monthly Coaching: From Knowledge to Practice

The monthly coaching workshops are an essential part of the program: dedicated time to help you embody the knowledge and make it part of how you think, respond, and live.

Understanding a teaching is an important beginning. Changing established habits, responding differently in relationships, and bringing your marriage or household closer to the Sunnah takes time, reflection, and practice.

Once a month, our weekly gathering will therefore be an interactive coaching workshop focused on implementation. Through guided reflection, CBT- and REBT-informed coaching tools, and practical exercises, we will work on:

  • Identifying what is making it difficult to put the knowledge into practice.
  • Recognising beliefs, emotional responses, and habits that may be holding you back.
  • Understanding what is within your control and choosing realistic next steps.
  • Reviewing your efforts, working through difficulties, and building on progress.

These workshops provide regular stepping stones toward change—helping you move from understanding the knowledge to living it. The other weekly gatherings will continue to offer learning, reflection, and support along the way.

“I also really needed and loved the sessions on boundaries as this is something I struggle with a lot.”

More Testimonials from Earlier Programs

These testimonials refer to previous versions of the program, formerly called Revival. References to earlier course lengths are historical; the current Women in Islam program runs for eight months.

“You are amazing MashaAllah and it’s a huge blessing to be able to learn from you and clear up misunderstandings, we definitely need more time with you, 6 months would be amazing to fully clarify majority of these issues.”

“I appreciate you and your explanations Alhamdulillah.”

“Jazakum Allah kheir for putting this course together. This is so much needed!”

“Come to the UK & to a Retreat xx”

“The content was excellent.”

“Learning about all the hadith purely from a woman's perspective really stood out for me. It helped me to understand my role and space as a Muslim woman.”

“What stood out for me is how much context matters and how unfortunate it is that ahadith are taken out of context and used against women. I love that Shaykha puts things into perspective within the light of the sunnah.”

“I absolutely love how you are breaking down and analyzing all the hadiths. Generally we hear them from only certain angles. I also especially like how you are telling us women to advocate for ourselves and have our expectations.”

“I find the topics and choice of hadiths very interesting and the discussions and care Sha. Shaista puts in helping us very uplifting and touching.”

“It removed wrong ideas I had (and didn’t know I had) about the role of women in islam, especially as wives. The stories increased my love for the Prophet sala Allah alayhi wa salam more… I feel I have more pride and ‘Izza’ as a Muslim woman.”
— MA

“The topics chosen for each week were holistic, relevant and really important. I liked the simplicity of your presentation as it made it easy to follow and understand. You dropped some amazing gems, and made it safe for us to share and feel heard. You were interactive and encouraged us to think for ourselves and make notes. Your teaching style is authentic and straightforward, you use language that’s understandable. I convinced my friend Sofia to join this course, she’s an Arab, I am a Pakistani but she I both still discussed found this course so beneficial and easy to understand.”
— MM, UK

“I appreciate you explaining ahaadith from a woman’s perspective, it’s rare.”

“The stories of the Sahabat and going back to Rasuul Allah ﷺ for all things.”

“[Sha.Shaista has] done an incredible job with sharing and feeding us so much knowledge for the soul.”
