Rabi al Awwal Day 8

Rabi al Awwal #8 :
On his being the most concerned over the affairs of every single person of his ummah, ﷺ
Allah ta’ala tells us this in the last ayahs of Surah Tawbah:
“There has indeed come to you a Messenger from amongst yourselves. Grievous to him is that what you suffer; [he is] avid over you and to the believers is kind/gentle and merciful.”
ِThe Prophet peace be upon him was deeply concerned about the affairs of each individual person from his Ummah.
An incident indicative of this is when some some people who were very poorly dressed; in woollen rags, covered with sleeveless blankets came to the mosque of the Prophet ﷺ. the narrator: Jarir ibn Abdullah said: The face of the Prophet (ﷺ) fell when he saw how needy they were. Then he went into his house and came out; then he commanded Bilal (May Allah be pleased with him) to call the Adhan (call to prayers). So he called the Adhan and the Iqamah and the Prophet (ﷺ) led the Salat. Then he delivered a Khutbah exhorting the people to give in charity: saying, … Thereafter, every man gave in charity Dinar, Dirham, clothes, few measure-fulls of wheat and measure-fulls of dates till he said: “(Give in charity) be it half a date”. Then a man of the Ansar came with a bag which was difficult for him to hold in his hand. Thereafter, the people came successively (with more and more charity) till I saw two heaps of food and clothes. I noticed that the face of Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was glowing like that of the bright moon or glittering gold. Then he (ﷺ) said, “Whosoever introduces a good practice in Islam, there is for him its reward and the reward of those who act upon it after him without anything being diminished from their rewards. And whosoever introduces an evil practice in Islam, will shoulder its sin and the sins of all those who will act upon it, without diminishing in any way their burden”
The Prophet ﷺ took these people’s plight to heart, and did something to change it; the description of his blessed face when he first saw them is similar to how a close family member would react finding out someone in his family was seriously in need or ill, or something befell him: true concern and dismay by their state. Thereafter, Jarir ibn Abdillah described his noble face, “glowing like that of the bright moon” from his joy and happiness that these Muslims were going to be taken care off. Likewise, the Prophet ﷺ is this way with each and every one of us as Allah ta’ala tells us; this is the way he is with all the believers. Praise be to Allah! We have so much to be thankful for to Allah, and to the Prophet ﷺ for his immense concern for us.❤️
