The Israa and M’iraaj

The Israa and M’iraaj
Though common practice is to commemorate the Israa and M’iraaj on the 27th of Rajab, the scholars of Prophetic Biography (Seerah) had differed as to the exact day of its occurrence.
This forces the narrative to change from the Israa journey being one intended to comfort and ease the burden of the Prophet ﷺ.
According to some narrations, it took place right before the Hijraj, meaning after the Prophet ﷺ already had a pact with the newly converted Ansaar and he was promised help.
So we need to re-examine the Israa narrative here.
Perhaps it was only to glorify the Prophet ﷺ, let his true glory and worth be known, or revealed a bit…to the Mekkans, the Madinans who will also hear of us, for us, and all those to come.
This is the event in which One Slave went where no other being every went.
“Glory be to the One Who took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque whose surroundings We have blessed, so that We may show him some of Our signs. Indeed, He alone is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing.” (Sura Israa:1)
